the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), held a half-day
conference related to the North Carolina textile and apparel
industry and beyond and trade expansion opportunities. The

Hardy Poole, IMS Associate, presented "Protective Textiles -
Opportunity for Imagination" at the Dornbirn Man-Made
Fibers Congress (Dornbirn-MFC)in Dornbirn, Austria,
September 19-21. The Dornbirn-MFC is positioned as the leading

On July 18 and 19, Darrel Collier, Managing Director of International Market Solutions, attended the summer
Board Meeting of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association in Washington DC. Over 40
leaders of the synthetic fiber industry in the United States were in attendance to discuss such topics as
the Korean Free Trade Agreement and other US trade initiatives.

IMS Managing Director, Stephen Metzger will deliver
a presentation on "Global Trends in Small, Task-Oriented Vehicle Markets
and Manufacturing" at the Hong Kong International Auto Parts Fair, April
28-May 1. The presentation is scheduled for Sunday, April 29.
Mr. Metzger has authored three major studies in the area of small,
task-oriented vehicles, with a new study due to be published in September.

Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) annual meeting was held in Washington, DC,
April 23-25. With the recent election results and heightened public concerns

- IMS representatives attended the American Fiber Manufacturers
Association Spring Board Meeting in Washington D.C. on
April 18 and 19. Attending were more than 45 leaders of the
synthetic fiber industry in the United States. Meetings were held
with Representative Robin Hayes and Senator Sandy Levin to discuss
current trade issues and the pending Korean Free Trade Agreement.

(NPRA) in San Antonio from March 25-27 will be attended
by representatives from International Market Solutions. The

was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 13-16 at the Las
Vegas Convention Center. It is the fashion industry's number
one event and more than 115,000 attendees from around the world

- Outdoor
Retailer Winter Market was held January 27-30, 2007 in Salt
Lake City, Utah. This was the largest winter show since its

attended the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando,
FL, January 24-27,2007 and covered the show for Industrial Utility
