Leadership Team:
Jorman Fields, IMS Managing Director
Jorman Fields brings a wide range of international experience
to International Market Solutions. His early career is based in
the field of yarn texturing and textiles, serving in various capacities
with J.P. Stevens and Universal Textured Yarns. When DOW Badische
purchased Universal, Mr. Fields along with several other key employees,
formed the original limited partnership that became UNIFI, Inc.
UNIFI went on to become the largest yarn texturing company in
the United States.
At UNIFI, Mr. Fields served in executive capacities in various
technical, marketing, and business development positions, including
the position of International Sales Manager. This position gave
Mr. Fields a free hand to build international sourcing networks
for UNIFI and to gain valuable and lasting contacts worldwide.
In 1990, and building on his international experience, Mr. Fields
created Textile Network Concepts, Inc. (TNC), headquartered in
Greensboro, North Carolina. TNC is involved in imports and exports,
as well as domestic sources of yarn and fibers, and fabrics for
a wide array of both domestic and international companies. Most
recently, TNC reached an agreement with National Spinning Company
to be their yarn products distributor.
A European presence was needed in order to better serve the total
international market, and in 2005 a joint alliance was formed
with JP International Industrial Consulting of Germany. TNC’s
European business increased with an agreement for exclusive representation
of Pössiger GmbH, a German trading company.
In 2002, to take full advantage of the accelerating trend in business
globalization, he founded TNC Global Consulting, primarily directed
toward international project development and feasibility studies,
particularly in China. With the success of TNC Global, a Shanghai
office was opened in 2005.
For the last sixteen years Mr. Fields has done extensive travel
internationally for his business ventures. Activities centering
in China, include feasibility and marketing studies in geosynthetics,
automotive batteries, molded plastic processing for pick-up truck
bodies, and trailer parts manufacturing, among other projects.
Seeing the critical need for significantly improved complementary
management functions in international business development, Mr.
Fields helped found International Market Solutions, LLC (IMS)
and serves as a Managing Director.
Jorman Fields is a graduate of North Carolina State University
with a B.S. degree in Textile Technology. He resides in Greensboro,
NC with his wife and family.
